Types of Acne

Everybody knows that acne usually occurs during the teen years. But because of this acne lots of teenage people are suffering. So, I guess everybody deserves to know what are the types of acne, because it is still for them to find a way on how to stop acne from spreading in the entire face.

Non- inflammatory acne – this is classified in two types the closed comedo and the open comedo.

• Closed Comedo – this are commonly known as white heads. This was usually appeared as a small raised white or yellowish pustule on the skin. These kinds of acne are cause due to the building of a plug of oil and bacteria over the pores. But, this can cause nothing because it will just disappear themselves and it doesn’t require any treatment.

• Open Comedo – this one are commonly known as blackheads. This was caused by the blockage of the pores. And this kind of acne will last longer and can be pinched away after exposing skin on the face to steam to open the pores.

Inflammatory acne – This are classifies into six types. And these are more prominent and may appear on areas beside the face even in the shoulder, neck, chest, upper arms and even scalp.

• Papule – this are small and pinkish or red bumps on the skin. This will occurs when the hair follicle on the skin gets inflamed. This type of acne can be sore or tender.

• Pustule – this is painful pus filed lesions that appears red at the base and yellow and rounded in the top. This are commonly called zits and when you touched it, it is very painful.

• Nodules and cysts – this are the type of acne vulgarism that are more severe. These are larger in six rather than a pustules aside from that it was filled with pus. This are embedded deep in the skin. While cysts develop when nodules will persist for a long time and then harden. This two can also cause permanent scar.

• Acne Rosacea – this are mostly appears on the face and in forehead. This will appears as reddish rash like the area that contains pimples. This is irritating and painful also.

• Acne Congloba – this is a very severe form of acne that occurs predominantly in males. This can be seen in the back, buttocks and chest and it appears as severe lesions and blackheads.

• Acne Fulminans – this is a severe form of acne congloba that are characterized by joint pain and fever. This can cause severe scarring and this was usually seen in women.
